How a Chocolate Fountain works
Most of our Chocolate Fountains are made of three parts - a base unit containing the bowl, heater and motor, a spiral drive and a tier system.
You prepare the chocolate separately by melting it in a microwave or on the hob over a low heat. You then pour it into the bowl in the base unit. The spiral drive draws the warm chocolate up to the top of the tier system - and then the enticing cascade starts to flow over the tiers with its irresistible warm chocolate aroma. It pours back into the bowl and then starts its journey all over again.
Once the chocolate is in full flow, everyone can start to dip the food of their choice - anything from exotic fruits and profiteroles to marshmallows and biscuits. And remember the Fountain works equally well with sauces other than chocolate, including savoury ones. For something completely different try a warm fruit coulis or a cheese, barbecue or sweet chilli sauce.
How to set up a Medium CF2000 Fountain
Place the bowl on top of the base unit and fix it firmly on the bayonet fitting. Ensure the Fountain is completely level. Adjust the feet if necessary.
Take the larger of the 2 spiral drives. Fit it in the centre of the bowl.
| |
Select the larger of the 2 central column sections. Place it over the spiral drive and connect it in the round collar in the bowl’s centre. |
Take the largest tier and the 2 smaller ones. Slip the largest tier over the central column first, like an upside-down saucer. Add the 2 smaller tiers in size order. |
| |
Complete the set-up by placing the top hat on top of the column. Make sure that the top of the spiral drive fits into the hole in the centre of the top hat. |

How to set up a Large CF2000 Fountain
Place the bowl on top of the base unit and fix it firmly on the bayonet fitting. Ensure the Fountain is completely level. This is particularly critical in the large set-up. Adjust the feet if necessary. |
Remove the protective nylon cap from the screw at the end of the larger spiral drive. Join the smaller spiral drive to the larger one by connecting and turning them anti-clockwise. Fit the completed spiral drive in the centre of the bowl. |
| |
Select the longer of the 2 central column sections. Place it over the spiral drive and connect it in the round collar in the bowl’s centre. |
Take the largest 2 tiers and slip them over the spiral drive and the central column. They need to be positioned like upside-down saucers. |
Take the shorter central column section, slip it over the spiral drive and through the tier. |
Add the remaining 2 tiers in size order, the larger one first. Complete the set-up by placing the top hat on top of the column. Make sure that the top of the spiral drive fits into the hole in the centre of the top hat. |
